JOB SUMMARY:

As a Lead Finance Analyst, you'll provide financial leadership and process ownership for key accounting and business processes supporting Pierce Manufacturing.
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll own a portfolio initially including warranty, Digital Technology finance partnership, backlog actual reporting, and lease accounting, while leading and developing one Finance Analyst. You'll be accountable for the team's overall results and determine how work is prioritized and allocated based on business needs, complexity, capability, and available capacity.
You'll partner across Finance and the business to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective forecasting, strong internal controls, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys combining hands-on financial work, business partnership, process improvement, and people leadership.
YOUR IMPACT:

- Own and execute the team's portfolio of accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting support, reconciliations, journal entries, and internal-control responsibilities.
- Lead and develop one Finance Analyst, establishing priorities, allocating work, providing coaching and review, and building effective cross-training and backup coverage.
- Lead warranty finance and accounting, including reserve analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, controls, and business partnership.
- Serve as the primary Finance partner for Digital Technology, supporting actual results, forecast and budget assumptions, spending analysis, accruals, journal entries, intercompany activity, and allocations.
- Own backlog actual reporting and process integrity, including data maintenance, reconciliations, reporting, and controls, while partnering with FP&A on forecasting and forward-looking analysis.
- Own assigned lease accounting and financial processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, administration, and controls.
- Partner across Finance and the business to ensure financial results and business drivers are appropriately understood and reflected in reporting and forecasts.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement using CIMS tools to simplify, standardize, automate, document, and strengthen assigned processes; assume ownership of additional accounting and business processes as organizational needs evolve.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Six (6) or more years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or treasury.
- Ability to travel 10%.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Progressive accounting, financial analysis, FP&A, or related Finance experience appropriate for a Lead-level role.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own complex financial processes and balance hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership capability through coaching, mentoring, work review, project leadership, or people leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and business-partnership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Active CPA strongly preferred; CPA candidates in progress considered.
- CMA, MBA, or other relevant advanced qualification.
- Experience with warranty, lease, reserve, or other complex accounting processes.
- Experience in a manufacturing or similarly complex operating environment.
- Experience implementing process improvements and leveraging technology for efficiency.
- Prior formal people-leadership experience.

Pay Range:
$92,600.00 - $154,400.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
