Position Summary

The Field Technical Advisor provides technical direction for installation of Vogt Power supplied equipment on- site. Maintains and develops communications and working relationships with the customer and with vendors of critical and significant components.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Prepares installation manual for assigned projects.
  • Provides technical assistance during HRSG start-up.
  • Provides technical reports and data to the customer, vendors and subcontractors as required. Updates and informs project management, engineering, estimating, subcontracting and sales with appropriate technical information and reports.
  • Inspects Vogt Power supplied equipment.
  • Identifies problems and proposes repair procedures.
  • Schedules construction for customers, including staffing when necessary.
  • Protects the compay from harm as a result of liability associated with the installation and erection of our products in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements
  • Three (3) years' experience in HRSG installation. Must be familiar with ASME Codes. BSME preferred. Experience in operation of HRSG equipment helpful. Training position is available for interested candidates without above experience. Training would be with another experienced Commissioning Engineer or Field Technical Advisor.
  • Personal computer experience with knowledge of EXCEL, WORD and other packaged software desirable.
  • Must be able to travel extensively domestically and internationally and be willing to accept long-term (6 months to one year) assignments in those locations.
  • Requires working at heights of several hundred feet on occasion and exposure to confined spaces and industrial work sites.

The base pay range for this Field Technical Advisor role is $124,800 - $145,600 annually.
