Full Job Description
Field Marketing Manager, Harmony
The role in one line: Own your events end to end, from selection through the renewal decision. Pipeline is the scoreboard, not booth traffic.
How the team works: You're one of our field marketing managers. Each of us owns our own events end to end. You run yours like they're your business. What you'll own
Your events, full lifecycle, start to finish. From the moment a contract is signed to the week-4 post-event metrics review and the renew-or-drop decision. Tradeshows, summits, executive roundtables, and dinners.
Creative, daring ideas that make us punch above our weight. For every event you own, come up with out-of-the-box, buzz-worthy ideas so a small company stands out in a crowded hall. Tap the team's collective creativity, then run with the boldest ones. The best ideas do two things at once: they land hard with the attendees in that room, and they sharpen our brand and our message. We're small, nimble, fast-growing, and daring, and our presence should feel that way.
Event selection and go/no-go calls. Score an event's real ICP fit before we commit. Know the difference between show-wide traffic and the traffic that reaches our booth. Walk away from the wrong events.
The cost-per-meeting engine. Every event is judged on two numbers: completed ICP meetings and cost per completed ICP meeting.
Vendor and organizer negotiation. Push on package tiers, speaking slots, and pricing. Confirm what's included before you spend. Shop cheaper alternatives instead of defaulting to the expensive option.
On-the-ground execution with zero slips. Booth logistics, swag shipping and advance-warehouse deadlines, hotel and travel timing, scanner counts, giveaways and over-ordering. Nothing surprises you on site.
Full team coverage of the event, end to end. Make sure our collective team (marketing, sales, SEs) covers the event completely, from opening to close. Everyone arrives on time, stays through the end, and shows up for the post-event debrief.
Booth coverage and prep. Individual and group prep before each event, booth coverage arranged so we maximize the performance of the event, and post-event follow-up that actually converts.
A reusable playbook for your events. Turn each event into a system, not a one-off. A keep / add / cut / rework review after every event so the next one is better and cheaper.
Reporting upward. A clean dashboard with targets, actuals, and percent-to-goal that you can present to the CMO and leadership.
What we're looking for
A builder and a manager in one seat. Strategic planning, program building, and hands-on execution. You take an event and run it like an owner.
Creative and daring. You generate bold, unexpected ideas and you're comfortable making a splash on a startup budget. You'd rather be talked about than blend in.
Comfortable with numbers. You model scenarios, set a cost-per-meeting bar, and defend a renewal decision with math, not vibes.
Detail-obsessed operator. You catch the shipping deadline and the fine print in the sponsorship package before they catch you.
Resourceful under budget. You engineer around cost: cheaper speaking alternatives, free tools, rep networks, partner happy hours. You treat spend as a last resort, not a first move.
Asks the right questions before spending. Everything gets examined on one test: its potential to drive more ICP meetings from the event.
Ideally NYC-based. Our office is in the Flatiron district in New York City.
