Field & Experience Marketing Leader
The Director of Field & Alliance Marketing will define and lead the next evolution of Lantern's events function, transforming it from an execution engine into a strategic, experience-led marketing capability that drives measurable business impact. This leader sets a clear vision for how events engage clients, prospects, and partners, brings the Frontier Firm story to life in person, and ensures every event and field experience contributes directly to pipeline, brand differentiation, and growth.
The role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and partners closely with sales, alliances, and service line leadership, as well as with our technology partners, including Microsoft GitHub, and Databricks. It is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States, with periodic travel for client events, partner events, and Lantern gatherings.
Key Responsibilities
Set the vision for event marketing and experiences
Define and articulate a clear, forward-looking vision for how events drive business outcomes at Lantern
Evolve the function from event execution to fully integrated event marketing tied to pipeline and growth
Establish Lantern as a leader in differentiated, high-impact client and partner experiences, and as a visible presence in the Microsoft and Databricks ecosystems
Elevate experience design and innovation
Lead the design of distinctive, memorable event experiences that bring the Frontier Firm story to life and set Lantern apart in the market
Push beyond traditional formats to create experiences that deepen client engagement and accelerate relationships
Set the standard for what premium looks like across flagship events, executive roundtables, and field programs
Own business impact and pipeline alignment
Partner closely with sales, alliances, and service line leaders, and with Microsoft and Databricks field teams, to align events to pipeline goals and account priorities
Design and execute events as demand generation and relationship acceleration motions, not standalone activities
Define and operationalize clear success metrics, including pipeline contribution, engagement, and return on investment
Build and report measurable pipeline from events and field experiences, including partner co-marketing programs with Microsoft and Databricks
Lead and evolve the events collaboration model
Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of marketers, sellers and alliance partners to create a system of event delivery
Create clarity of roles across strategy, experience design, and execution
Build a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement
Drive executive and cross-functional influence
Operate as a leader and thought partner to marketing and business leadership
Facilitate strategic planning conversations with senior stakeholders across markets and functions
Ensure alignment between events, campaigns, brand, and go-to-market priorities
Scale through systems, tools, and enablement
Partner with marketing operations and enablement to scale best practices, tools, and processes
Ensure consistency and quality across markets while enabling flexibility for local needs
Advance event technology and data capabilities to improve efficiency and insight
Bring operational rigor to budgets, timelines, vendors, and the regional event calendar so investment is prioritized where it produces the most growth
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ten or more years of proven experience leading event marketing or experiential marketing at a strategic level, not solely execution
Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, high-impact customer experiences
Strong commercial acumen, with experience tying events to pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes
A proven track record in B2B marketing for professional services and consulting, where the offering is expertise and the sales cycle is relationship-led
Strong executive presence, with the credibility to hold the room with senior client, partner, and internal stakeholders and to influence decisions at the leadership table
A track record of setting vision and leading teams through transformation
Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on guidance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Demonstrated success building measurable pipeline from events and field experiences, with the attribution and reporting discipline to prove it
Experience running partner-led and co-marketing motions with technology partners such as Microsoft and Databricks, including co-sell, co-funded, and ecosystem event programs
A balance of operational rigor and regional events strategy: budgets, timelines, vendor management, and reporting discipline on one side; market-level planning, prioritization, and field coverage on the other
