Big projects don't run on plans alone-they run on coordination, curiosity, and people who know how to keep everything moving. At The Jamar Company, this role is the connective tissue between the field, the office, and the client. You'll help bring structure to complex projects by supporting schedules, documentation, and technical coordination while working alongside experienced teams who believe safety, innovation, and collaboration are the foundation of great work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bid packages and required project documentation including purchase orders, submittals, and related paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, submittals, material lists, and as-built drawings.
  • Assist with cost estimating and proposal development.
  • Perform document control functions in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures, including creating and tracking RFIs, transmitting and monitoring submittals, and supporting field personnel with document follow-through.
  • Assist with project documentation and progress tracking throughout the project lifecycle, including billings, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and other financial and performance measures.
  • Review and interpret technical engineering information to help ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating potential field issues and identifying possible solutions, escalating items to the Project Manager or Superintendent for final review, documentation, and resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with field teams, other trades, and customers to support successful project execution.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company and customer safety standards, and consistently adhere to all required safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide support during all phases of a project and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Technical or bachelor's degree in business, construction management, engineering, or related field of study; OR two years or more of experience with supporting industrial, commercial, or service projects, is required.
  • Strong technical aptitude with advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project; experience using iPads and iPhones is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to plan, schedule, and coordinate projects to meet established deadlines.

Other Details:

  • This role will report in-person to our Duluth, MN office and requires travel to national project sites and client locations as needed up to 75% of the time.
  • Work may include 8-to-10 hour days on job sites or in the main office and may include weekend work as needed for project support.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and remain in good standing in accordance with company driving policy.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $32.50-$48.80. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
