ROLE OVERVIEW

Over the coming years, biotech will fundamentally rewrite the way we live. Gene editing and cell therapy are dramatically changing how we treat cancer and other major illnesses. Biofuels and biomaterials are transforming the cars we drive, the clothes we wear, and the makeup of everyday objects. Crop science and synthetic biology are producing sustainable and ethical food. Benchling's mission is to accelerate the research that propels us towards this reality, and magnify its impact, through modern software.

Every day, scientists around the world use Benchling's applications, platform, & analytics in their efforts to solve humanity's most pressing problems. For these scientists, Benchling is the central technology they use to conduct their research. Our customers include pharmaceutical giants, leading biotechs, and the world's most renowned research institutes.

Benchling is looking for a Field Enablement Manager, focused on enablement program and platform management, to own our Docebo LMS end-to-end and build the onboarding curriculum that enables our customer-facing teams to deliver at a high level. This role has hybrid responsibilities: part platform administrator, part learning program contributor. You will ensure the LMS is healthy, well-architected, and driving measurable outcomes, while also designing and maintaining content, learning paths, and certification programs across our internal and external consumers. This role is a key contributor to Benchling's broader knowledge infrastructure investments, including our AI knowledge management initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own all Docebo administration: global settings, user provisioning, group management, report configuration, integrations, and platform health, etc.
  • Design and maintain the LMS content architecture across our three personas (internal, customer, partners): learning plans, certification tracks, course libraries, learner UX, etc.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to track completion rates, certification attainment, and program effectiveness
  • Develop scalable onboarding and continuous learning programs for CX roles including Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support
  • Author courses, assessments, job aids, and certification programs
  • Partner with subject matter experts across CX to translate complex product and process knowledge into engaging training content
  • Refine and execute on governance processes for eLearning content lifecycle management: creation, review cadences, version control, and deprecation
  • Collaborate with Benchling colleagues across the Knowledge & Digital Experience program to align LMS content strategy with Benchling's broader knowledge ecosystem

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in learning & development, instructional design, or enablement within a B2B SaaS company
  • 2+ years of hands-on LMS administration experience; Docebo strongly preferred
  • BS or M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or similar life science field
  • Life science background or experience enabling teams serving scientific industries
  • Strong content development skills; can author or direct the creation of clear, engaging enablement materials without always having deep domain expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build end-to-end curriculum, not just maintain content, including learning paths, assessments, and certifications
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise 360, or similar) and assessment tools (e.g. Skillable, Questionmark, or similar)
  • Strong project management skills; can own a program from scoping through launch and iteration
  • Experience building learning metrics and using data to improve program effectiveness
  • Familiarity with KCS methodology or knowledge management best practices, a plus
