Full Job Description
Job Purpose

The Field Development Manager develops Foremen and future field leaders through targeted training, coaching, and workforce development initiatives. This position partners with Superintendents and organizational leaders to identify development needs, create training programs, and deliver learning solutions that improve leadership effectiveness, workforce capability, and operational performance. The Field Development Manager utilizes workforce development data, training outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements. This position embraces the company's core values and supports operational excellence through the Collins Business System (CBS).

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Superintendents, Operations leadership, Human Resources, Safety leadership, and other stakeholders to identify workforce development needs and training priorities.
  • Develop training strategies and recommendations that address identified needs and support business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver leadership development programs for new and emerging Foremen.
  • Support the development of future field leaders through training, coaching, and structured learning opportunities.
  • Create and maintain training materials, presentations, facilitator guides, workbooks, reference materials, assessments, and other learning resources.
  • Develop learning pathways, curricula, and development programs within the company's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate training programs delivered in person, virtually, and in field environments.
  • Develop and maintain metrics that measure training effectiveness, employee development, learning outcomes, and program success.
  • Partner with leadership to continuously improve training programs and development strategies that support workforce capability and operational performance.


What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical construction or field operations
  • 3+ years of field leadership experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar role preferred.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees and frontline leaders.
  • Experience designing and delivering training and development programs.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify development needs, implement training solutions, and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience facilitating classroom, virtual, and hands-on learning experiences.
