Job DescriptionOverviewWe are currently seeking a Field Coordinator to join the Geotechnical Practice. The position in based in Thunder Bay or Vaughan, Ontario, with flexibility for candidates located in the Ottawa area.
The successful applicant will be an experienced Civil or Geological Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with proven experience in coordinating field projects and staff. The role will involve planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations throughout Ontario. Strong communications skills and the ability to work seamlessly with a large multidiscipline and dynamic team are essential.
Your role- Plan, coordinate, and execute complex ground investigations for remote transportation and infrastructure projects throughout Northern Ontario.
- Perform drilling supervision, soil logging, and rock logging.
- Install and monitor geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring wells.
- Perform downhole inspections and testing, including packer testing and OTV/ATV surveys.
- Collaborate with teams to advance technology adoption and digital innovation initiatives.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary investigation projects with Team Leads, Engineers, Geologists, Project Managers, and HSE personnel.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures to protect employees, the public, and the environment. Proactively contribute to the improvement of HSE policies and procedures to mitigate workplace hazards and prevent incidents.
About you- Civil Engineering Technology or Geology Technology Diploma with 5+ years of related experience with a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Positive attitude and unwavering commitment to health and safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence.

Additional informationExpected compensation for this role is between $77,900 - $107,100 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
