Full Job Description
Phasor Engineering is seeking a Field Commissioning Lead to support utility and infrastructure projects across North America. In this role, you will lead the testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization.

What You'll Do
• Lead field testing and commissioning activities for MV/HV systems and protection & control schemes
• Support utility, industrial, and energy infrastructure projects across North America
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and startup
• Support outage, energization, and commissioning activities
• Mentor and support junior team members and field crews
• Assist with commissioning procedures, startup documentation, and reporting
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, and technical stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with corporate, client, and industry safety standards
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification
• 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments
• Strong hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience
• Experience working with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure
• Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required

Requirements

This is afield-based position requiring travel and extended out-of-town work. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Background checks and Drug & Alcohol testing will be required as part of employment, and must have a valid driver's licence with clean abstract.

Salary range: $175,000-$245,000 (expected yearly earnings may vary based on experience and project requirements)
