Position Summary:
The Field Application Engineer provides technical expertise and application support for power quality solutions and industrial electrical systems. This role supports regional sales efforts by identifying technical opportunities, delivering customer solutions, and serving as a subject matter expert on MTE products and applications. Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, the position collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering teams to enhance lead generation, develop technical materials, and support solution-based selling within targeted market segments. The role offers remote work flexibility but requires proximity to a major airport and significant travel within the assigned region.

Develops technical knowledge of power quality solutions, electronic harmonics, and variable frequency drive applications.
Presents technical aspects of company products and solutions to sales channels, customers, and partners.

Provides technical support to customers including product selection, sizing, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Develops technical articles, application notes, and supporting documentation to promote products and services.

Education/Certifications

Experience
Experience supporting industrial electrical systems, power quality solutions, or variable frequency drives preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: Data Centers, HVAC, Water/Wastewater, Oil and Gas, or Food and Beverage.
Experience supporting technical sales or application engineering functions is preferred.
Experience working with OEMs, distributors, or end users in a B2B environment preferred.
Ability to travel more than 50% within the assigned region, with occasional travel to Latin America required.
Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.
