Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineer II - The Functional Area Project Manager II is a mid-to-senior-level role responsible for independently managing industrial construction projects with a focus on tooling installation. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership of project teams, and accountability for project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation for tooling installation projects.
- Oversee the installation of complex industrial tools and machinery, ensuring compliance with technical and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, engineers, and technicians, to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations, industry standards, and client safety protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, providing regular updates and resolving issues.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and deliver detailed reports to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field -OR- 5-7 years' experience in industrial construction, with at least 3 years specializing in tooling installation projects.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of industrial tooling systems (e.g., CNC machines, robotic systems, precision manufacturing equipment).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Physical Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications: - PMP or CCM certifications
Shift Expectations:- All Functional Area Project Management (FAPM) Engineer IImay be required to work a Compressed Work Week (4-day on, 3-day off, 3-day on, 4-day off), and may be required to work night shift on a rotational basis.
- Scheduled night shifts and weekend on-call rotations in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Night shift rotations are expected to be no more than 4 months per calendar year.
- Standard work hours: Monday through Friday
