Description: Family Practice Nurse Practitioner (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

This position is with Shawnee Health and will service Shawnee Health locations between Jackson and Williamson County

We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about providing high-quality, comprehensive care to all individuals. Our team values respect and compassion, and we aim to create a supportive and welcoming environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing comprehensive preventive care and education for patients of all ages
  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions including chronic disease and illnesses
  • Providing women's health services and family planning
  • Prescribing and managing patient medications
  • Ordering tests and initiating internal and external referrals
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records and contribute to organizational metrics and quality measures
  • Collaborate with a team of health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Highly interested in providing family oriented primary care to patients from infant to older age
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy/maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records
  • Support the mission and values of Shawnee Health


Education & Training
  • A Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree or Physician Assistant Master's Degree
  • Board Certification in appropriate field
  • Current State of Illinois, controlled substance, and Federal DEA licensure

Experience:
  • A minimum of two years' experience in Family Medicine with the above certification.
