Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with a focus on adult treatment.
• Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas is mandatory.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.
• Current DEA registration is essential for prescriptive authority.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to medical staff bylaws and regulations as well as compliance policies.
• Conduct patient assessments and provide care during hospital stays.
• Educate and train hospital staff as necessary.
• Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and training.
• Engage effectively with patients across various age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Perform administrative duties alongside clinical responsibilities.
• Function within your scope as a physician assistant or family nurse practitioner.
