Full Job Description
Family Medicine Physician With OB

Job Description:

Are you a Board-Certified/Eligible Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics training seeking a fulfilling career in a close-knit private practice?

Our well-established practice in Western Maryland is seeking a dedicated physician to join the team. Located on the campus of Garrett Regional Medical Center (a Top 20 Rural Hospital), we are a training-focused, faith-based team dedicated to providing genuine, face-to-face patient care and making a true impact in our community.

About the Opportunity:
  • Scope & Skills: Practice full-scope Family Medicine (all ages, chronic and acute care) with Obstetrics, including surgical OB. You also have the autonomy to focus on any niche area of interest (e.g., addiction medicine, OMT) if inclined.
  • Mentorship & Training: We are committed to mentorship and onboarding for new and experienced physicians, ensuring gradual transition and full support. Providers must have experience with surgical OB for credentialing.
  • Balanced Schedule & Call: Work 4 days per week, with your off day protected even during call week. Call is taken one full week at a time (currently 1:3, goal 1:4) and includes hospital rounding. The office is located just steps from the hospital, minimizing travel time.
  • Faith-Based Practice & Community: Our team remains active in our church homes and the community. We also encourage one another to participate in short term mission trips, as the broad scope of our rural Family Medicine allows us to be comfortable with the dynamics of third world medicine. Our faith is at the center of who we are, and we try to make that known as we interact with our community.
  • Autonomy & Partnership: All physicians are treated like partners with input into practice decisions and MA hiring. A clear path to partnership is available.
  • Supportive & Well-Established Team: With nearly 30 years of service, the practice is a well-regarded entity in the community. Work alongside a collegial group of 2 experienced Family Medicine Physicians, one Advanced Practitioner, and highly tenured support staff, ensuring you can focus on meaningful patient relationships.
  • Competitive Rewards: We offer competitive compensation and a complete benefits package in line with your experience and qualifications.
About Oakland, MD (Western Maryland):

Oakland offers beautiful, serene landscapes and a strong, true sense of community. Located in the Appalachian Mountains, you'll enjoy a four-season lifestyle with fantastic outdoor recreation, including walking trails, a 400-acre park, and great fishing.

  • Charming Location: Oakland maintains a designated Main Street and Arts and Entertainment District with a variety of shops, local farmer's markets, and historic landmarks.
  • Accessibility: While rurally located, Oakland is approximately one hour east of Morgantown, WV, two hours south of Pittsburgh, PA, and three hours from both Baltimore, MD, and Washington, D.C, which allows for easy day-trips or weekend getaways.
  • Outdoor Paradise: The area is a perfect fit for those who love the outdoors, offering mountainous views and plenty of opportunities for hiking, swimming, and year-round recreation.
