Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives in Perioperative Medicine at Hartford Hospital
  • Supervise advanced practitioners in the PAT and Bone and Joint Institute PREPARE center
  • Attend and contribute to monthly meetings with surgical service lines
  • Participate in perioperative and quality improvement committees
  • Supervise risk reduction strategies for high-risk patients pre-surgery
  • Provide medical services in perioperative medicine and primary care
  • Educate and collaborate with residents in a community health clinic setting

Internal Medicine Faculty Physician

Introducing an exciting teaching opportunity for a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician in an academic medical center located in Hartford, CT, one of the most desirable regions in the country to live and with one of the most renowned teaching hospitals in the region.

Faculty Position Details:
Role: Faculty position in Outpatient Academic Practice with UCONN Internal Medicine Residents
Location: Hartford, CT
Setting: Hartford Region, 100% Academic Clinic-based, outpatient internal medicine working with our residents in the community health clinic
Schedule: Full-time (10 hours per week leadership, 30 hours per week faculty practice)
Phone Call Only: back-up resident coverage only
Other compensation: Guaranteed base salary, Loan repayment support, Sign-on bonus, Relocation stipend
Faculty Practice Scope: (100%):
• Outpatient internal medicine working with our residents in the community health clinic
• Opportunity to integrate education of residents and quality improvement initiatives into clinical shifts
• Professional development in academics, research or advanced leadership in a thriving hospital system
