Reporting to the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, this faculty position is responsible for leading and managing a high-quality Master of Business Administration (MBA) program that achieves approved academic, financial, and community-building outcomes and advances the values and mission of Fresno Pacific University. The Business Department offers degree programs at the graduate and undergraduate level, including traditional undergraduates, degree completion, and master's-level programs in Business Administration and Strategic Organizational Leadership. The department includes six full-time tenure or tenure-track faculty and has recently secured accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Schools and Programs of Business (ACBSP).
This position is based on the main campus of Fresno Pacific University, and teaching responsibilities at all locations depend on semester needs.
Essential Functions - Effective teaching in-person and online within the undergraduate and graduate business degree programs.
- Program organization and administration, including course scheduling, faculty assignments, and long-term program planning.
- Program development, oversight, and review. Coordinate content and methodology to ensure program learning outcomes are addressed and achieved. Regular communication with program faculty and adjuncts regarding program needs and direction.
- Conduct program review and annual student learning outcomes assessment process recommendations for program modifications with program faculty.
- Monitor key program indicators, including enrollment, retention, persistence, graduation, student satisfaction, and program outcomes.
- Assist in recruiting MBA candidates, answering inquiries, conducting interviews with potential students, reviewing application files, and making recommendations regarding admission when requested. Increase awareness and visibility of the MBA in the Central Valley.
- Coordinate advising/mentoring of students in the major/program.
- Respond promptly to student, faculty, and staff requests and needs, complaints and/or grievances as needed.
- Organize/supervise extracurricular activities of the major/program.
- Initiate and maintain relationships/partnerships with external organizations, agencies, and educational institutions.
- Investigate and apply for grants that will expand the program's reach and enhance its effectiveness.

Qualifications Required:- A terminal degree in business or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of a relevant graduate degree and significant professional credentials and experience (e.g., an MBA with an active CPA license).
- Demonstrated success teaching in business or related areas.
- Experience in college-level curriculum development and teaching in different instructional modalities, including blended and fully online courses with traditional and nontraditional adult learners.
- Ability to work collegially with students, staff, and faculty.
- Ability to teach and work with people with diverse cultural, religious, political, and educational perspectives.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Strong relational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Commitment to the Christian faith and the University's mission of Christ-centered teaching, learning, and involvement in a local church.
Preferred:- Successful leadership, management, or administration in a Christian higher education setting.
- Previous experience serving in an academic leadership role, such as department chair, program director, or equivalent position.
- Experience with ACBSP accreditation, including Quality Assurance Reports, reaffirmation processes, or accreditation-related assessment.
- Evidence of successful goal setting and achievement under minimal supervision.
- Identifiable passion for connecting with and mentoring graduate students.
- Scholarship and professional experience that demonstrates pursuit of the discipline for social impact that aligns with the Fresno Pacific Idea.
- Familiarity with Fresno Pacific University and California's Central Valley.
Environmental Conditions:- Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes at least eighty percent (80%) of the time.
- Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to eight hours per day.
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments.
- Public contact position requiring professional apparel, personal hygiene, and grooming.
Physical Demands:- This position typically functions indoors in an office environment with light to moderate noise associated with business office equipment. The position may involve travel for meetings and events.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: remain in a stationary position 80 % of the time, be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets/office machinery etc., operate a computer and keyboard and other office productivity machinery such as calculators/copy machines/printers. The employee is occasionally required to position self to reach items on the floor and in high cabinetry.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be able to communicate with others to exchange information including both over the telephone and in-person communication with callers and community members and be able to read a computer screen and paper documents.

$88,308.48 to $120,963 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
