Job Title: Manager, Facilities Maintenance

Job Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for all facilities at Grouse Mountain. The Manager oversees a team of carpenters, plumbers, painters and other various maintenance staff.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the construction and renovation of structures from ground excavation to all finishing work.
- Maintains Fire systems in all buildings and portable equipment
- Works closely with project Managers to provide advice and guidance to construction or maintenance plan designs
- Develops project budgets in conjunction with project manager and maintains project targets
- Prepares and implements with the director of Maintenance and Facilities an annual financial plan
- Follows procedures in place to order parts, supplies and equipment for projects and normal operating expenses
- Provides input to the preventative maintenance system
- Ensures and enforces that all facilities staff follow safe work procedures and follow company policies and procedures
- Responsible for the scheduling of all facilities staff
- Maintains and upkeeps all kitchen equipment
- Maintains and meets all budget targets
- Responsible hiring, orientation, training, coaching, performance management, and administrative duties required for the Facilities department
- Responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the water treatment plant
- Maintains records and provides reports when required
- Other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibility
Directly provides supervision to team of Carpenters, Plumbers, Painters, Apprentices and Maintenance Helpers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Completion of a Journeyman certificate related to building trades
- Water Treatment Certification, Level 3 or higher
- Minimum of 5-10 years work experience in a related field
- Knowledge of the Canadian Building Code required
- Previous construction and project management an asset
- Microsoft Office skills required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specifications and technical information
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is a full-time, year-round leadership role. On-site presence required; may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as resort operations demand. Indoor and outdoor work environments, including exposure to mountain weather conditions.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$90,000 to $110,000 annually
