Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Facilities Program Manager to join our Facilities department based in Mobile, Alabama.

The Facilities Program Manager primary responsibilities will be to focus on Environmental activities from an FMRE perspective and serve as a communications lead for FMRE back to the programs/customers at the Mobile Manufacturing Site.

Your Working Environment:

On 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your Challenges:
  • Develop, implement and oversee environmental strategies and action plans in partnership with the site environmental management department, to ensure sustainable development.
  • Lead the development and review of technical documents including environmental policies, procedures, programs and guidance documents.
  • Liaise with all applicable internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress towards achieving environmental goals
  • Set sustainability targets, develop plans to meet those targets that are managed by the site and oversee the delivery.
  • Provide program support to the site environmental department regarding regulatory compliance requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of environmental projects, including carbon footprint reduction, waste management, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
  • Ensure all FMRE activities align with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Partner with technical FMRE teams to integrate sustainable practices into maintenance and real estate operations.
  • Ensure all facility operations meet or exceed environmental regulations and corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets.
  • Establish and monitor environmental KPIs, such as energy intensity, water usage, and diversion rates.
  • FMBP for all program managers and departments at MMS to streamline service request, communication, and feedback.
  • Coordinate crisis communications during facility-related emergencies (power outages, building maintenance, safety protocols).
  • Manage customer inquiries and feedback regarding facility impacts, ensuring a high level of transparency.
  • Act as a resource between all departments and the Facilities team to align space requirements with business goals in conjunction with the Move and Change program..
  • Facilitate feedback loops (surveys, town halls) to measure employee satisfaction with the physical workspace.


Your Boarding Pass:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or certification and 6 or more years previous experience in related fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Program Management, specifically within Facilities


Physical Requirements:
  • Onsite 100%
  • Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: Daily able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: Daily able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: Daily able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: Several times a week able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Travel: Rarely able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
