Full Job Description
The Owego Facilities Engineering Manager leads the engineering organization responsible for the technical health, performance, and long-term sustainability of facility infrastructure supporting a complex manufacturing, laboratory, office, and industrial campus. This leader will develop engineering talent, strengthen technical capabilities, and establish effective partnerships with Facilities Maintenance, Capital Projects & Construction, Manufacturing, and centralized Reliability Engineering. The role provides technical leadership for critical infrastructure while ensuring engineering solutions balance safety, reliability, maintainability, cost, and business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and strengthen the Facilities Engineering team. Provide technical leadership for complex facility infrastructure and utility systems. Establish engineering priorities, standards, and technical requirements. Partner with Maintenance and Operations to troubleshoot complex issues and improve equipment and system performance. Provide technical review and engineering support for capital projects while maintaining clear accountability between engineering and project execution. Oversee external engineering and design resources and review technical deliverables. Support infrastructure lifecycle planning and development of long-term investment strategies. Partner with centralized Reliability Engineering to improve asset performance and reduce operational risk. Support commissioning, system turnover, outage planning, and technical acceptance of facility modifications. Build strong cross-functional relationships with Manufacturing, ESH, Security, and other business stakeholders. Basic Qualifications -Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. -8+ years of engineering experience supporting complex facilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial operations. -Minimum of 3 years of experience leading engineering projects, technical teams, or supervisory responsibilities. -Experience supporting building infrastructure, utilities, or industrial facility systems. Desired Skills -Experience leading engineering within a large manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similarly complex industrial environment. -Technical knowledge of central utility systems, HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, controls, compressed air, and other critical infrastructure. -Experience reviewing engineering designs prepared by outside architects and engineering firms. -Experience with infrastructure lifecycle planning, asset management, commissioning, and capital planning. -Knowledge of building automation systems, energy management, and utility optimization. -Experience collaborating with project managers, construction teams, and operations organizations. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00 The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. - For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
