Job Description: 

As a Facilities Electrician, you will play an essential role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and reliability of electrical systems across Intel's facilities. You will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment, wiring, and systems that are critical to daily operations. Your expertise will help maintain the seamless flow of operations, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with performance standards, making a tangible impact on Intel's operational success.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assemble, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment and systems using appropriate spare parts and servicing techniques.
  • Inspect electrical systems regularly to identify faults or hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain medium voltage electrical systems while implementing reliability improvements.
  • Review wiring blueprints and interpret technical drawings for system layout and diagnostics.
  • Run tests on generators, backup systems, and other electrical components, ensuring upgrades and repairs are performed as needed.
  • Install and preserve the functionality of wires, plugs, panel boards, switchgear, and related equipment.
  • Document and escalate issues to management while providing reliability suggestions and commissioning new electrical facilities equipment.
  • Operate and maintain environmentally compliant equipment to support sustainability efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 0-4 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting OR an Associate's degree in a relevant field with 3-6 years of hands-on experience OR 8-10 years of relevant experience with a High School diploma.
  • Journeyman Electrician must have an active Oregon journeyman license or Oregon reciprocal agreement journeyman license from the states of Arkansas, Idaho, Maine, Montana, Utah, Wyoming.
  • Intermediate knowledge in operating medium voltage electrical systems.
  • Intermediate experience to assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, appliances, and equipment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of electrical safety codes and regulations.
  • Intermediate experience with testing tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical system issues effectively.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, wiring blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with environmentally compliant equipment and sustainable practices in facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $85,080.00-120,110.00 USD (Hourly Role)
