Software Engineer, HPC Network OptimizationIn this role, you will join a team responsible for configuring, testing, characterizing, and optimizing networking components for HPC systems running in Linux. Your work will help improve platform performance, strengthen automation, and support the infrastructure mission teams rely on every day.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Include- Configure, test, characterize, and optimize networking components for HPC systems in a Linux environment
- Use Bash and Python to automate manual processes and improve repeatability
- Support containerized services across Docker, Podman, and containerd environments
- Help strengthen CI/CD workflows and source-controlled development practices
- Work with engineering teammates to improve platform performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Support testing and troubleshooting efforts across mission-focused HPC environments
Minimum Qualifications- Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Or 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Required Skills- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
- Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
- Recent software development experience using Python
- Understanding of basic parallel programming concepts
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerd
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
- Experience with Git source control system
Desired Skills- Familiarity with observability and analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
- Familiarity with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework, SAFe, methodologies
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including JIRA and Confluence
Compensation Range: $142,000.00 - $182,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate's background and suitability for the role.
