Full Job Description
We're seeking an EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER to support our Mining & Metals team. In this role, you will contribute to mechanical design, equipment selection, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination.

About the Role
  • Develop technical requisitions, datasheets, specifications, and scope of supply documents for mechanical equipment packages.
  • Participate in technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for equipment selection.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors throughout the procurement lifecycle, including clarification requests, design reviews, and document submissions.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Support package management activities, ensuring equipment delivery aligns with project schedules and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with process, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure integrated project execution.
  • Monitor package engineering progress and identify technical risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), inspections, and commissioning support activities as required.
  • Assist with equipment layout development and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in mining and mineral processing projects within consulting, vendor, or owner organizations.
  • Knowledge of CAD, SmartPlant, 3D design tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and organizational skills.
