We're seeking an
EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER to support our
Mining & Metals team. In this role, you will contribute to mechanical design, equipment selection, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
About the Role - Develop technical requisitions, datasheets, specifications, and scope of supply documents for mechanical equipment packages.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for equipment selection.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors throughout the procurement lifecycle, including clarification requests, design reviews, and document submissions.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Support package management activities, ensuring equipment delivery aligns with project schedules and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with process, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure integrated project execution.
- Monitor package engineering progress and identify technical risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
- Participate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), inspections, and commissioning support activities as required.
- Assist with equipment layout development and constructability reviews.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes.
About You - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in mining and mineral processing projects within consulting, vendor, or owner organizations.
- Knowledge of CAD, SmartPlant, 3D design tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ASME codes and industry standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Salary range: $98,000 - $125,000 annually.
