EXPERIENCED FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING CONSULTANT

The Experienced Finance and Accounting Consultant Role

We are seeking talent with Finance and Accounting consulting experience to join our Corporate & Shared Services team. Experienced consultants are expected to have the leadership, project management, and client relationship skills necessary to successfully manage a variety of project types and sizes.

Travel, at the discretion of the client, may be necessary.

The Project Team

You will work on small project teams to identify, and often implement, solutions to client problems and challenges. Project teams are typically composed of three or four consultants and a partner. Working closely with experienced ScottMadden consultants and partners will maximize your learning and enable meaningful project contributions from your very first assignment.

The Qualifications

Our ideal candidate is well rounded and possesses the following:
  • Practical understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, fixed assets, and financial planning and analysis, and supporting technologies
  • Knowledge of leading practice Finance and Accounting solutions, shared service and global business service delivery models, processes, technologies, and organizational structures
  • Experience in assessing, designing, implementing, and improving Finance and Accounting delivery models
  • Experience in overseeing/delivering technology implementations and digital transformations including strategy and business case, requirements gathering, vendor selection, testing, training, and deployment
  • Strong project and resource management skills
  • Relevant experience in creating project deliverables
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Enthusiasm and initiative
  • Creativity (necessary for the development of custom solutions)
  • Focused, strategic, and critical thinking

The Requirements
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Finance and Accounting consulting experience (3+ years preferred)
  • Experience in Shared Services is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project and Outlook)


Location

Ideally, we would like candidates that are located and can work from one of our offices (Raleigh, Atlanta and Greater Boston Area) but will consider remote hires for the right talent
