Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

Shape the future of employee experience by contributing to the design of agentic AI and adaptive digital experiences, empowering over 320,000+ employees to enhance their productivity and growth.

As an Experience Design Associate within the Employee Experience Design team, you will support the creation of AI-driven, adaptive user experiences that respond to user intent and evolving needs across self-service journeys. Drawing on strong expertise in experience design principles, interaction design, and research practices, you will partner closely with product, engineering, and research to deliver clear, scalable, and user-centered solutions, often working in parallel with engineering from concept through build.

Your work will focus on small to large-sized features and end-to-end journeys, with a hand in shaping a growing agentic design system and defining how systems respond across varied user inputs and scenarios. At the Senior Associate level, you are expected to work independently, lead design decisions from ambiguous problems through delivery, elevate the team's craft, and help evolve adaptive, conversational, and UI-driven interaction patterns that create consistent and intuitive employee experiences.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of user experiences for small to large-sized features, features and end-to-end journeys, balancing user needs, business goals, and design standards.

  • Own response mapping for your feature areas, defining system behavior across user inputs, edge cases, failure states, and handoffs between conversational and UI-based interactions.

  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces that support intuitive and scalable self-service experiences.

  • Set and uphold a high bar for interaction and visual craft, including motion and transitions, and ensure it carries through to what ships.

  • Operate with an iterative design mindset, incorporating feedback, research insights, and usability testing to continuously improve experiences.

  • Partner with engineering throughout the build, working from shared specs and co-creating in code or prototyping tools to close the gap between design intent and implementation.

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of an agentic design system, including reusable components, patterns, and interaction models.

  • Incorporate accessibility and inclusive design best practices into all work to support a diverse range of users.

  • Utilize data, research, and user feedback to inform decisions and refine design outcomes.

  • Present and defend design decisions and rationale to team members, partners, and senior stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years in a user experience design or equivalent role dedicated to improving experiences with digital products and services
  • Proven ability to create visually appealing and functional designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing user experiences across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels
  • Previous experience interpreting complex data and transforming it into actionable insights for informed decision-making
  • Proven use of generative AI assistants and LLM-powered tools within the design process.

  • Proficient understanding of inclusive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and assistive technologies, with a history of creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expert using Figma, Figma plug-ins, and FigJam.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including rationale and storytelling that persuades senior leaders or aligns multiple stakeholders

  • Expert in the latest AI technologies and trends including Claude, ChatGPT, and other LLMs.

  • Broad Design skillset with an adaptable, product-oriented mindset and a love for learning

  • Strong understanding of technology and/or coding experience with front-end frameworks (HTML, CSS, React), experience in mobile development (iOS, Android) and using APIs.

  • Experience in conversation design and/or chatbots
