ROLE: Executive Producer

REPORTS INTO: Production Director or Sr. Production Director

LOCATION: Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA or NYC, NY

What Is an Executive Producer:

An Executive Producer leads Salt's largest and most complex projects. Where a Senior Producer leads a project, an Executive Producer leads the production - owning financial performance, serving as the senior client partner, and guiding cross-functional teams through the highest-stakes work the agency takes on. You are agile, decisive, and comfortable with ambiguity. You know when to zoom out and when to get close.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning for large-scale, multi-faceted productions from concept through final reconciliation
  • Owns the financial outcome of the production, including profitability, margin strategy, and reconciliation accountability.
  • Simultaneously lead a large production and provide oversight across other projects, acting as a senior production resource leadership relies on across the portfolio, not just on one show.
  • Is comfortable working within tight timelines, managing challenging work back schedules and leading complex decision making.
  • Serve as the senior client partner on major productions - present for executive-level conversations, navigating political sensitivity and high-pressure environments with calm and clarity
  • Working with directors and creative teams to provide strategic input and ensure the project vision aligns with client and brand expectations.
  • Clearly define and maintain Roles & Responsibilities for the project team and partner agencies.
  • Oversees risk management on projects, creating risk mitigation strategies for complex challenges.
  • Manages large-scale productions, and prioritizes multiple projects at the various stages of a project life cycle.
  • Work with project finance and operations teams to monitor and successfully reconcile budgets to ensure internal financial goals are met.
  • Participate in Salt company wide meetings including ongoing process training and improvement, company culture, and monthly updates.
  • Bring collaborating agencies together to deliver premium work.
  • Lead effective production audits and production schedule reviews.
  • Maintain regular meetings with your individual team members (i.e. workstream leads and direct reports) and promote individual growth and development.

  • Foster unity and belonging within the team. Leverage project talent collaboratively to achieve outstanding results.
  • As a full time employee, you will be responsible for managing full time (non project) staff at Salt. This would include ongoing company management, employee development, employee growth, and company culture.
  • Travel both domestically and internationally will be required.
  • This job will require on-site and in person work.


Requirements

  • 10+ Years of experience.
  • Hands on experience managing budgets ranging from $5,000,000 to $15,000,000
  • Confident proposing next steps and leading a team from a strategic thought through execution.
  • Well-rounded experience in various facets of event production [Logistics, Fabrication, Graphics, A/V, Furniture & Decor, Food & Beverage, etc].
  • Understanding of both B2B and B2C business and is able to forecast potential fires on a project in advance.
  • Embody integrity and character, transparency and accountability, leading by example.
  • Understanding of the creative process for large scale events.
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations and adept at conflict resolution with teammates, vendors and clients.
  • Able to kindly hold all parties accountable to deliver a great finished product
