About Our Family

We are a busy, warm, and active household with four school-aged children. Our days are full with school schedules, sports, music lessons, appointments, and family life keeping things moving from morning through evening. We are also at an important transition point as our children grow older and become increasingly independent. With all four children now in school, our needs are evolving from more constant, hands-on support toward thoughtful logistics, coordination, and executive-functioning support that keeps the household and everyone in it running smoothly.

We are looking for someone who is a true self-starter: highly organized, observant, polished, warm, and able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries. The ideal person naturally notices what needs attention, thinks ahead, and takes initiative without waiting to be asked. This role will help carry much of the mental load of family life, managing schedules, extracurriculars, transportation, calendars, and communications with schools, teachers, doctors, and other providers, while also supporting the organization and smooth operation of the home. We have a strong, long-standing household staff and value teamwork, professionalism, discretion, and clear communication. We appreciate people who take pride in excellent work, are attentive to their surroundings, and can identify and address small issues before they become larger ones.

Our primary residence is a large private property, and our family also spends time at other residences and travels internationally. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving private household, is comfortable wearing many hats, and genuinely takes satisfaction in being the person who makes family life easier behind the scenes.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

• Experienced in private service: You bring several years working in a high-end private household, estate, or luxury hospitality environment. You understand the standards of discretion, flexibility, and attention to detail that define excellent private service - and you hold yourself to them without being reminded.
• Polished and professional: You present yourself with care and maintain a clean, professional appearance as a natural part of how you show up to work. You are warm and personable while maintaining clear professional boundaries - you understand this is a working relationship, not a personal one.
• Proactive and resourceful: You notice what needs attention and handle it. Whether it's researching a tech issue, identifying an inefficient process, or getting ahead of an upcoming trip, you find solutions independently and bring answers rather than questions.
• Organized and systems-minded: You are energized by logistics, calendars, checklists, and moving pieces. You respect established household systems and protocols, and when you see room for improvement, you raise it diplomatically with experience and context behind your suggestion - not an overhaul.
• Service-oriented and adaptable: You bring a genuine spirit of service to your work and are comfortable moving fluidly between administrative tasks, family logistics, meal prep, errands, and property coordination. You are willing to pitch in wherever needed, approach each responsibility with care, and take pride in helping the household run smoothly. Excellent private service means paying attention, being helpful, and doing what needs to be done.
• Tech-savvy and self-sufficient: You are comfortable with technology and quick to learn new devices, systems, and household management tools, including Apple products. You can confidently navigate everyday technology, troubleshoot common issues, and figure things out independently before escalating when needed.
• A strong communicator: You communicate clearly and efficiently - primarily by text throughout the workday, with email used when documentation matters. You know when to bring something to a principal's attention and when to simply resolve it and report back.
• Collaborative and team-aware: You are joining an established team of long-term household professionals and understand how to work within that structure with respect and professionalism. You contribute new ideas thoughtfully without overstepping, creating friction, or trying to reinvent what's already working.
• Comfortable supporting older, independent children: You understand that supporting the children is an important part of this role, but that it looks different as they grow older and more independent. You are comfortable providing structure, gentle prompting, logistical support, and a calm, reliable presence while encouraging their growing independence. You bring warmth and attentiveness to your interactions with the children while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and expectations.
• Flexible and travel-ready: Your schedule can flex around the family's needs, including some weekend availability and domestic and international travel. You are physically comfortable navigating a large, active property and a variety of travel environments - including private aviation and boating.
