Young Parent Network (YPN) is actively seeking a visionary and collaborative Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth, sustainability, and community impact.
The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee organizational operations, cultivate community partnerships, guide fundraising efforts, and ensure that YPN continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for the families it serves.This is an opportunity for a passionate leader who is energized by strengthening communities, developing high-performing teams, engaging donors and stakeholders, and advancing a mission-centered culture.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership by executing the organization’s vision, identifying growth opportunities, and partnering with the Board of Directors to advance long-term goals and community impact
• Lead fundraising and revenue development efforts, including donor engagement, corporate partnerships, foundation support, and strategies that strengthen and diversify funding sources
• Serve as the organization’s primary community ambassador, building strong relationships with stakeholders, representing the organization at public events, and advocating for families throughout Eastern Iowa
• Develop and inspire a high-performing team by coaching staff, fostering a collaborative culture, promoting accountability, and aligning efforts with the organization’s mission and values
• Oversee financial and operational performance, including budget management, resource stewardship, compliance, organizational sustainability, and data-driven decision-making
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a nonprofit, social services, healthcare, education, community development, or related field
• Demonstrated success leading teams and managing organizational operations
• Experience developing community partnerships and stakeholder relationships
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with boards, staff, donors, and community leaders
• Strong financial management and budgeting experience
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, problem-solving, and financial acumen
Preferred Qualifications
• Executive Director, CEO, President, Vice President, or senior leadership experience within a nonprofit organization
• Successful fundraising and donor development experience
• Experience working with board of directors and governance structures
• Knowledge of family support services, early childhood programs, public health, human services, or community-based programming
• Grant management and grant-writing experience
