HHS Office of Commissioner is seeking 2 Executive Director positions to work in Bismarck, ND.
The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking two collaborative, results-driven leaders to serve as Executive Director, Family & Community Services and Executive Director, Community Living & Support. As members of the HHS Executive Team, these leaders will guide distinct portfolios of essential services that strengthen families, support independence, and improve the health and wellbeing of North Dakotans. Each will translate agency strategy into action, lead through change, and bring programs together to improve coordination, operational performance, and outcomes for the individuals, families, and communities we serve.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $185,000 per year
Role #1: Executive Director, Family & Community Services - this role oversees Early Childhood, Economic Assistance, Children & Family Services, Child Support, and Zone Administration
Role #2: Executive Director, Community Living & Support - this role oversees Aging Services, Developmental Disabilities, DD Council, DDS, Life Skills & Transition Center, Vocational Rehabilitation, Refugee Services
The successful candidates filling these roles will provide strategic direction, division leadership, and operational oversight for a portfolio of programs and services within HHS. They will ensure programs operate cohesively, effectively, and in alignment with the agency's mission, strategic priorities, and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of North Dakotans.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree and five years of senior/executive management level experience in the administration of health/human service-related programs, or funding/reimbursement of programs such as Public Assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Child Support, etc.;
Experience must have included program implementation and management, supervision of professional level staff, budget development, and people management responsibilities.
Location
These positions are located in Bismarck, ND and will work from the State Capitol. These positions are unclassified and appointed by the Commissioner of the ND Department of Health & Human Services.
