Position Summary

The Executive Director, ERP & Value Chain Platform Engineering is a senior technology executive accountable for the enterprise platforms that enable ELC's end-to-end value chain across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Research & Development. Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Platform Engineering, this role serves as the executive platform owner responsible for the strategy, governance, lifecycle management, modernization, and business outcomes of ELC's SAP-centric ERP and Value Chain platform portfolio.

Operating within ELC's Enterprise Platform Engineering operating model, this leader serves as the primary technology counterpart to Enterprise Product Design Engineering, Tech, Data & Analytics Leaders, Enterprise Architecture, Operations & Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Enterprise Business Services (EBS), and strategic technology partners. The Executive Director translates approved business capabilities into coordinated platform strategies, modernization roadmaps, engineering realization plans, and technology investments while maintaining accountability for platform outcomes beginning at build through production acceptance.

The Executive Director provides strategic leadership across a portfolio of enterprise platforms supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), ensuring these business-critical capabilities remain scalable, resilient, secure, and aligned with evolving business priorities. This role governs engineering realization delivered through Enterprise Business Services (EBS), strategic technology partners, and Enterprise Platform Engineering while ensuring engineering quality, platform optimization, operational readiness, and long-term technology sustainability.

Through leadership of the ERP & Value Chain Platform Engineering organization, this role drives enterprise platform modernization, business capability transformation, and continuous improvement across ELC's global value chain. The Executive Director champions engineering excellence, platform ownership, AI-enabled engineering practices, and technology innovation while strengthening organizational capability and enabling future-ready business platforms that support the company's continued growth and digital transformation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

A. Platform Strategy, Ownership & Lifecycle (35%)

Provide strategic leadership and long-term ownership for ELC's ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio, ensuring enterprise platforms continue to evolve in alignment with business priorities, enterprise technology direction, engineering standards, and long-term business capability objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Own the platform roadmap, lifecycle strategy, modernization initiatives, and long-term evolution of the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Research & Development.
  • Partner with Enterprise Product Design Engineering and Tech, Data & Analytics Leaders to translate approved business capabilities into coordinated platform roadmaps, engineering realization plans, and technology investment strategies.
  • Lead enterprise platform modernization initiatives that strengthen ERP capabilities, optimize end-to-end business processes, improve technical sustainability, and enable future-ready business platforms.

  • Own successful delivery outcomes across the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio while governing engineering realization delivered through Enterprise Business Services (EBS), strategic technology partners, and Enterprise Platform Engineering.
  • Establish accountability for engineering quality, platform health, release readiness, environment strategy, operational readiness, and cross-platform dependencies across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Research & Development platforms.
  • Drive platform optimization through continuous evaluation of environment utilization, landscape strategy, platform capacity, technology utilization, software licensing, data lifecycle management, engineering tooling, and engineering operating efficiency to maximize long-term platform value.
  • Govern engineering standards, platform quality, modernization initiatives, technical sustainability, and delivery governance across the ERP & Value Chain platform portfolio.
  • Establish engineering performance metrics, governance practices, and operational measures that improve predictability, engineering quality, platform health, and long-term business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Enterprise Product Design Engineering to translate approved business capabilities into coordinated platform strategies, engineering realization plans, and modernization roadmaps across the enterprise value chain.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure engineering solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, approved technology principles, SAP modernization strategies, and established engineering patterns.
  • Collaborate with Operations & Infrastructure to ensure platform readiness, production acceptance, environment strategy, operational transition, and long-term platform support are successfully achieved.
  • Partner with Cyber Security to ensure security requirements, remediation priorities, compliance obligations, and enterprise controls are incorporated into platform planning, engineering realization, and modernization activities.
  • Drive alignment across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, Research & Development, Enterprise Architecture, Operations, Security, Enterprise Business Services (EBS), and strategic technology partners to proactively resolve cross-platform dependencies, engineering risks, and delivery challenges.
