06th October, 2026Executive Assistant to the Chief Product Officer Technology Company
The opportunity This isn't your typical Executive Assistant role.
Our client is a rapidly growing, late-stage technology company whose organization is scaling from approximately 700 to 900 employees. The Chief Product Officer leads one of the company's largest and most critical teams, and they are looking for a strategic Executive Assistant who can operate as a true partner from day one.
This role goes far beyond calendar management. You'll help determine what deserves the CPO's time, create structure around a rapidly growing organization, build trust across the executive and product teams, and develop the systems and operating rhythms that allow a senior leader to perform at their best.
You'll have the authority and influence expected of a top-tier C-level Executive Assistant, with the support of a newly centralized Executive Office designed to elevate the role and create a strong path for growth.
What you'll own - Protecting the CPO's time. You'll manage a complex calendar and help determine what deserves the CPO's attention, balancing competing priorities and pushing back when necessary.
- Strategic partnership. You'll operate as a trusted extension of the CPO, anticipating needs, identifying challenges, and helping them stay focused on the highest-impact priorities.
- Building operating rhythms. You'll establish systems, processes, and routines that create clarity and consistency across the CPO's organization.
- Executive leadership. You'll coordinate leadership meetings, planning cycles, offsites, and other critical moments that bring the product organization together.
- Cross-functional influence. You'll build strong relationships across the executive team and broader organization, ensuring priorities are communicated and followed through.
- The undefined. You'll step into ambiguous situations, figure out what needs to happen, and take ownership of getting it done.
- Building the playbook. This is a role with room to shape how executive support operates at scale. You'll create better ways of working rather than simply inheriting existing processes.
What you bring - Significant experience supporting a C-level executive in a strategic Executive Assistant or Executive Business Partner capacity.
- Experience working within a high-growth technology company, particularly in an environment that has scaled rapidly from approximately 500 to 1,000+ employees.
- The confidence and judgment to manage access to a senior executive, prioritize competing demands, and push back respectfully when something doesn't warrant their time.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with VPs, executives, and senior stakeholders across the organization.
- A proactive, highly organized approach with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- The ability to give and receive direct feedback and communicate candidly while maintaining strong relationships.
- A builder's mindset. You're comfortable creating systems, processes, and a playbook where one doesn't already exist.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to understand the bigger picture rather than simply executing tasks.
- A genuine interest in working as part of a high-performing Executive Assistant team and contributing to a strong team culture.
- A desire to continue growing, learning, and expanding your impact rather than staying within a narrowly defined support role.
Why you'll love it - Strategic influence. You'll have a genuine voice in how the CPO spends their time and how their organization operates.
- A role with real ownership. You'll help shape the systems, rhythms, and playbook that support one of the company's most important leaders.
- Executive Office support. You'll be part of a newly centralized Executive Office and report to an experienced Executive Office leader.
- Strong EA community. You'll work alongside senior Executive Assistants who bring deep experience, high standards, and a collaborative approach.
- Mentorship and growth. The Executive Office is intentionally building a strong career path for exceptional administrative talent.
- High-growth environment. You'll join a late-stage technology company experiencing significant organizational growth and transformation.
- Competitive compensation. The base salary range is $200K-$250K, plus equity.
- Hybrid in San Francisco. This role is based in San Francisco and requires Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the office.
This role is not for everyone. It's designed for an Executive Assistant who wants more than a defined list of responsibilities. If you're looking for settled boundaries, limited ownership, or a role where you simply execute requests, this may not be the right fit.
But if you're ready to become a true strategic partner to a C-level executive, influence how a growing organization operates, and help build the playbook for executive support at scale, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
