Exceptional Children's Teacher/TVI | Up to $45/hour | Winston-Salem, NC | Full-Time | [redacted] School Year

This position is for Exceptional Children's Teachers who are interested in becoming Teachers of the Visually Impaired.

Position Details
  • Full Time, 1.0 FTE

What You'll Do
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in alignment with their IEPs
  • Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments to guide instructional planning
  • Adapt materials into accessible formats such as braille, large print, and tactile graphics
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student access and success
  • Support development of independence, assistive technology use, and compensatory skills

What We're Looking For
  • Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in Visually Impaired (or area of Exceptional Children's Teaching)
  • Must have scheduled Praxis Exam scheduled for NCDPI TVI license
