Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of estimating experience, especially with public projects; design-build experience is a bonus.
• Strong management, time management, and customer service abilities.
• Familiarity with contract specifications and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of construction contractual language.
• Understanding of unit rates across various construction trades.
• Strong grasp of union requirements and local material markets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SharePoint, Procore, and Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent communication, writing, and financial tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bid compilation and project estimates for construction and design build projects.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of construction costs.
• Analyze trends in bidding, competitor pricing, and project budget lifecycles.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to manage construction trades within budget.
• Develop detailed construction schedules that include cost-loading.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors from various trades.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids for compliance with project requirements.
• Work closely with Project Managers to finalize budgets.
