Bradford Construction currently has an opportunity for an experienced Estimator with one of our clients, a NYC Public Agency.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a diverse range of technical, professional, and managerial staff-as well as designers, consultants, and contractors-to coordinate and develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Prepare, or ensure the preparation of, detailed cost estimates across all phases of design and construction.
- Oversee the creation of quantity take-offs and cost evaluations based on design documents, construction drawings, specifications, and contract modifications.
- Review and analyze cost estimates submitted by external consultants, providing recommendations on their suitability for implementation.
- Participate in cost-related negotiations to support project planning and budgeting efforts.
- Lead, assign, and review the work of team members involved in cost estimating activities.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, with at least five years being in one or more estimating disciples such as architecture, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.
Education: Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. #LI-Onsite
