Job title: Estimation & Fabrication Coordinator (NOC 22301)

Vacancy: 1 position Full-Time Permanent

As our Estimation & Fabrication Coordinator you will:
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to support estimating, fabrication planning, installation, and project execution
  • Prepare material and project cost estimates, budgets, procurement plans, project schedules, and reports for mechanical equipment, utility systems, piping, HVAC, and related systems
  • Perform technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments for mechanical equipment, piping packages, utility systems, and related services, and assist with the preparation and review of procurement and tender documentation
  • Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, fabrication teams, and internal stakeholders throughout fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate and monitor the fabrication and installation of mechanical equipment, piping, HVAC, and utility systems to ensure work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality requirements
  • Manage work orders, purchase orders, change orders, cost tracking, and project documentation using ERP and SAP systems
  • Prepare reports, meeting minutes, status updates, and production documentation to track fabrication progress, materials, costs, project deliverables, and provide updates to management
  • Support installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and final project handover activities for mechanical equipment and systems
  • Conduct site inspections, vendor audits, and equipment reviews, and inspect mechanical fabrication and installation work to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable standards
  • Ensure safety standards, quality requirements, project specifications, and applicable industry codes are maintained throughout fabrication, installation, and project execution
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent mechanical fabrication and installation projects in fast-paced industrial and construction environments, monitoring schedules, materials, project progress, and deliverables


Our ideal candidate has:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical project coordination, project engineering, fabrication support, mechanical construction, and/or industrial construction.
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems and equipment, including piping systems, boilers, HVAC systems, compressors, pumps, and related mechanical utilities.
  • Experience in procurement, vendor management, contract administration, and supporting technical evaluation of vendors and bids.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, piping standards, and industrial construction practices.
  • Experience with ERP or project management systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
  • Proven ability to develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, cost information, and project controls.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
