JOB DESCRIPTION

The ESG Reporting & Controller function is primarily focused on ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the firm’s sustainability and climate-related reporting. 

As an ESG Reporting & Controller Associate within the ESG Reporting & Controller function, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the firm’s sustainability and climate-related reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute reporting and analytics of sector-specific portfolio carbon intensity based on JPMorganChase Carbon Compass Methodology supporting the firm’s carbon intensity reduction targets.
  • Supports production of the Energy Supply Financing Ratio (ESFR), measuring the Firm’s financing of low- and zero-carbon energy supply activities relative to high-carbon activities.
  • Contribute requirements to enhance and automate existing processes with a control mindset partnering with product delivery teams and technology 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of emission reporting and wholesale banking products
  • Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, and Databricks 
  • Able to build and maintain partnerships across Line of Business and Corporate Functions 
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to quickly understand workings of a complex reporting and large data sets across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement, initiative and appropriate prioritization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
  • Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
