Ergonomics EngineerOverview / Summary The Ergonomics Engineer supports the plant ergonomics program by partnering with production, engineering, safety, medical, labor, and plant leadership to identify and reduce ergonomic risks. This role assesses and improves workstations, analyzes injury and medical trends, supports new-model launches and process changes, and ensures compliance with ergonomics standards. Through data analysis, employee training, and cross-functional continuous improvement, the position promotes employee well-being while supporting safety, quality, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities - Support the plant ergonomics program and help identify and reduce ergonomic risks.
- Partner with production, engineering, safety, medical, labor, and plant leadership.
- Assess and improve workstations.
- Analyze injury and medical trends.
- Support new-model launches and process changes.
- Ensure compliance with ergonomics standards.
- Use data analysis to support ergonomic improvements.
- Provide employee training related to ergonomics.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in ergonomics, engineering, industrial engineering, human factors, kinesiology, occupational health, safety, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in ergonomics, manufacturing or industrial engineering, safety, or a related technical area.
- Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing workplace improvements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Experience with 3D modeling.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree.
- Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) credential.
- Automotive manufacturing or launch experience.
- Familiarity with ergonomic simulation tools.
Work Arrangement - Fully onsite.
- Morning shift: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM.
- Overtime may be required.
