Decision-Making:
Routinely apply logical thought processes to effectively provide verbal and written instruction. Directs and influences the methodology of machine troubleshooting, repairs and modifications.
Routinely determine when to utilize other resources inside and outside of the company to repair and maintain the area equipment.
Routinely review plans and workload. Adjust resources, schedules and overtime as needed.
Routinely reviews the effectiveness of maintenance activities and initiates appropriate actions.
Regularly review the performance of technicians providing feedback, determining merit increases, and disciplinary actions. The team leader will review all disciplinary actions. All disciplinary actions beyond First Level (Second Level and Final Warning - Last Chance Agreement) will be administered jointly with the team leader.
Essential Function/Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of the equipment in the assigned area.
Maintains a weekly schedule of planned activities for the crew. Balances schedules with available resources. Coordinates scheduled maintenance custody of equipment with manufacturing and logistics.
Responsible for controlling and reporting of equipment status, PM completion, unscheduled overtime and other equipment maintenance measures.
Demonstrate effective communication skills with crew, peers and other groups and levels within the company.
Lead and influence analysis of equipment or systems to determine malfunction. Coordinate proper repair action. Discuss findings with maintenance group, area operators, leadership, and engineers to find immediate and long-term solutions.
Ensures technical availability for tools in their areas of responsibility by developing and assigning appropriate staffing and resources.
Coordinates assistance with the appropriate engineering resources when necessary to improve tool recovery and technician knowledge.
Escalates issues to fab management as needed to maintain critical communications and secure resources outside of their immediate control.
Coaches, counsels, and provides performance feedback. Influences selection and direction of team. Sets realistic objectives and motivates others to achieve them. Helps to resolve conflicts within / between teams.
Effectively review all records of repairs, calibrations, tests, preventative maintenance, spare parts, and procedures.

Promote and maintain licensing of technicians for required State / Federal licenses and certificates.
Schedule training and maintain training records for the maintenance crew.

Responsible for understanding the hazards in the workplace, including hazardous waste handling and awareness. Required to remain up to date on applicable trainings.
Serve as an expert on SAP-PPM transactions and functions.
Perform year-end / year-start SAP functions to close and generate blanket and statistical work orders.
Position Requirements:
