WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAYAs a Epidemiologist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Serve as a recognized expert and authoritative consultant in epidemiology for complex public health programs, studies, and investigations.
- Design, plan, initiate, coordinate, and evaluate epidemiologic studies, surveys, investigations, and other public health activities.
- Provides scientific and technical leadership for epidemiologic programs and projects and coordinates resources necessary to accomplish program objectives.

QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the
GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least ALL of the following:
- Providing epidemiological consultation and technical guidance on complex public health issues, programs, studies, or investigations
- Designing, planning, implementing, or evaluating epidemiologic studies, surveys, or investigations
- Leading or coordinating epidemiological programs or projects by establishing scientific or technical requirements, evaluating program or project activities
