Leidos' Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a talented and qualified
Industrial Operations Environment Test Manager to join our Defense team in Huntsville, AL supporting the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (CHGB) Program. This role will oversee a diverse group of Test Technicians and be responsible for their growth. This position will also support the integration and testing of complex Avionics and Navigation/Guidance Systems, ensuring hardware and integrated systems performed as designed.
Primary Responsibilities. - Manage a diverse Environmental Test Technician Team consisting of approximately 8 Technicians of Multiple Disciplines.
- Team development, with a focus on skills development, career growth, and retention using enterprise leader toolkits.
- Perform targeted feedback sessions with employees.
- Complete Performance Appraisals and identify individuals ready for Promotion.
- Executes test procedures to support integration and vehicle delivery.
- Analyze test results and document Non-Conformances.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering and Quality to support resolution of Non-Conformances.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet our technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
Basic Qualifications. - A BA/BS and have at least 5+ years of relevant experience or at least 10+ years of relevant experience. The candidate should have 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams and/or projects.
- Experience in a MIL-STD-810 Test Environment
- Background in Manufacturing and/or Test Operations.
- Ability to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience working with Thermal, Pressure, Acceleration, and Vibration test equipment.
Preferred Qualifications. The following skills/abilities are desired:
- Knowledge of Matlab
- Knowledge of test procedure development
- Knowledge of post data processing
- Knowledge of NI Software
- Organizational skills to assist in documenting designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Other Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would have experience in electronics/avionics/environmental testing and have a current DoD Secret clearance.
Security Requirements:Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
