Full Job Description
GZA is currently seeking a Assistant Project Manager who is an aspiring LSRP, or a Project Manager with LSRP license to support our growing environmental consulting practice in Somerset, NJ.

As an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, you will work for a leading professional services firm on a variety of environmental projects, including environmental due diligence, site assessment, investigation, and remediation. You will successfully execute projects under the review and guidance of a company Principal and Senior Project Manager. You will have responsibility to manage individuals and groups of professionals with varying levels of experience from entry level to highly experienced scientists, geologist, engineers, ecologist, administrative assistants, and others. Our success relies on this collaborative environment.

You will participate in the entire lifecycle of a project from proposal to contracting, to project execution and close-out. Many of our projects are fast-paced and deadline driven. You will also participate in the development and mentoring of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing technically and financially successful projects.
  • Taking projects through the remediation process (investigation through remediation) following the NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation.
  • Meeting client-driven deadlines through management of teams and project schedules.
  • Leading teams of professionals who will be performing environmental assessments and investigations, compiling and interpreting data, create conceptual site models, writing reports, screening, selecting remedial technologies and implementing and monitoring applied remedial methods.
  • Have awareness of risk for GZA and our clients.
  • Review and interpret various types of laboratory data.
  • Review technical analyses/calculations associated with the data collected.
  • Author clearly written technical reports including data analysis, summaries and conclusions, and relative to various environmental regulations.
  • Communicate proactively, effectively, and efficiently with team members.
  • Prepare Site-specific health & safety plans and ensure teams work safety.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in geology, earth/environmental science, or related field required.
  • Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license in good standing, or be on-track to obtain the LSRP license.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments under ASTM-1527-21, environmental investigations and remediation under using the NJDEP Tech Regs, SRRA, and NJDEP/LSRP Guidance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing.
  • OSHA 40Hr Hazwoper Certification.

The base salary for this position may range between $86,000.00 to $125,000.00. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
