OverviewRoviSys is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join our Thousand Oaks team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and implement software solutions for industrial and enterprise applications. This role offers exposure to application development, database systems, data integration, reporting, and software systems that support manufacturing and business operations.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities- Develop software applications and utilities based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, and software testing activities.
- Write, debug, and maintain code using established development standards and best practices.
- Assist in the development of software documentation, including design, test, and support documentation.
- Support software integration with databases, enterprise applications, and operational systems.
- Troubleshoot software issues and participate in root cause analysis activities.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions on schedule and within budgeted hours.
- Participate in internal training and professional development programs.
Day to Day Activities- Develop and test software applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in project meetings and technical discussions.
- Create and execute test plans for developed software.
- Assist with database queries, reporting tools, and application integrations.
- Support software deployments and customer acceptance testing.
- Learn and apply RoviSys development standards, methodologies, and quality processes.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites and other RoviSys offices as needed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
- 0-3 years of software development experience, including internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or professional experience.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as:
- C#
- PythonJava
- JavaSc
- ript/TypeScript
- SQL
- Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts, debugging techniques, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with relational databases and database design concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and ethical responsibilities in engineering and software development.
Compensation & Benefits Highlights- Competitive Base Salary: $85,000-$95,000
- Your base pay will depend on several factors including software development skills, educational background, relevant experience, and individualized knowledge base.
