Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Construction Management group to work on projects in the greater NYC metropolitan area.  To qualify, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Preferred candidates will have construction engineering experience maintaining the project documentation system, preparation of weekly reports, preparing monthly estimates and change orders and maintaining as-builts. Responsibilities
  • Monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract plans, provisions, and specifications
  • Coordinate and schedule various phases of construction inspection with the prime contractor and other agencies
  • Proactive in identifying field issues and discuss solutions with supervisor
  • Collaborative approach to working in a team that includes the owner and contractor
  • Prepare and process construction records, including RFI’s, submittals, field measurements for progress pay applications, extra work billings, and contract change orders
  • Ability to document all field activities, work in a collaborative manner with the owner and contractor and represent Dewberry and our clients in the highest capacity
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering required.
  • Previous construction internship experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communications and client relations skills
  • Must have the ability to work with field staff and work as a team player
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record+

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
