Description
Our dynamic and successful Civil Drainage Group is seeking a full-time Entry Level Civil Drainage Engineer. This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN; St. Paul, MN; or Fargo, ND office. As an Entry Level Civil Drainage Engineer, you will be exposed to a wide variety of innovative and diverse projects. Projects may include urban design, highway design, multimodal and trail design for a variety of clients.
Responsibilities:- Tasks you may perform include design calculations, cost estimates and plan production. Occasional field walks and onsite construction observations may require local travel. Specific tasks include:
- Roadway drainage system layout and design, including storm sewer and culvert design.
- Design of Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as wet ponds, infiltration basins, filtration ditches, etc.
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
- Design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
- Stormwater permitting.
- Ability to engage in a positive work environment with an open mind to learning new skills and software(s) associated with typical project requirements.
- Be an active participant on a collaborative design team with other groups/disciplines within SRF.
- Exhibit quality day-to-day work in line with SRF's quality management plan.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school.
- Successful completion of the FE exam or ability to take the FE exam within six months of employment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Related internship experience preferred.
Salary: $80,500
Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
