Full Job Description
The Enterprise Solution Architect is responsible for defining and governing end-to-end technology solutions that align business objectives with enterprise architecture standards. The role provides architectural leadership across applications, integrations, data, security, and technology platforms to ensure scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions.
Your role:
- You will evaluate enterprise application technologies and solution approaches, assessing their capabilities, limitations, architectural fit, and potential to address business needs, with Salesforce as the current primary technology focus.
- You will establish and lead architecture governance for delivery, including the architecture governance board, technical decision forums, design standards, guardrails, and review practices across internal teams and implementation partners.
- You will review and approve critical technical designs, integration patterns, security models, data architecture decisions, and platform configuration approaches before implementation.
- You will translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into solution designs, technical specifications, prototypes, proofs of concept, and implementation-ready architecture deliverables.
- You will guide secure platform design across user access, role hierarchy, sharing, identity management, single sign-on, data privacy, and regulatory compliance considerations.
- You will define the Salesforce integration approach and partner with integration architects to align API strategy, event-based communication, external services, middleware patterns, and connected enterprise systems.
- You will collaborate with data, integration, release, security, and business architecture teams to align the CRM data model, migration approach, deployment architecture, and platform roadmap.
- You will drive engineering quality expectations for Salesforce delivery, including review discipline, testing practices, documentation, performance, maintainability, and technical debt reduction.
- You will communicate architecture recommendations, roadmap decisions, risks, trade-offs, and investment implications to business and IT stakeholders in clear, actionable terms.
- You will support platform stabilization by advising on complex production issues, scalability constraints, high-volume data scenarios, and long-term reliability improvements.
Your expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in Salesforce technical architecture, solution engineering, or enterprise application design, with hands-on delivery in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong technical depth across core Salesforce platform capabilities including Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud / PRM, Sales Performance Management (SPIFF), security and sharing, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and declarative configuration.
- Proven background in enterprise integration patterns, including API-led design, REST/SOAP services, event-driven architecture, middleware platforms such as MuleSoft or SnapLogic, and ETL tooling.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems, preferably SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, CPQ/product configuration platforms, and other commercial sales applications.
- Strong understanding of CRM data models, object design, master data alignment, visibility concepts, migration considerations, and large data volume strategies.
- Practical experience with Salesforce delivery lifecycle practices, including CI/CD, Git-based version control, environment management, release management, automated testing, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead implementation partners or system integrators in global delivery models, including final review and approval of critical technical designs and validation of solution quality.
- Experience supporting large-scale CRM or digital transformation programs in global, multi-region, matrixed enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics, architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs in clear business terms.
