Overview
This position is responsible for delivering critical regulatory reports and risk data analysis dashboards, supporting Risk Data Aggregation program governance and documentation, and maintaining and validating RDA system data outputs. This role focuses on BAU risk reporting execution — including recurring KRI and RWA reporting cycles — data quality and reporting accuracy, while also contributing to stakeholder coordination, program compliance support, and technical problem-solving on data validation and automation as needed.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) Program Governance and Activities
- Support and further strengthen the RDA program's governance framework, including maintaining and updating program governance documentation, data lineage, and RDA risk data repository records.
- Support certification of critical data elements and ownership assignment across the risk data inventory, ensuring accountability is clearly documented and current; maintain lineage documentation from a business-process perspective and keep the control framework robust.
- Support broader RDA program-related BAU activities, including self-evaluations, compliance actions, and gap analysis.
- Prioritize and help deliver reporting requests from Head Office, regulators, and first/second lines, and respond to ad-hoc data or risk reporting inquiries. Identify automation opportunities and propose enhancement or efficiency-gain solutions, supporting implementation where feasible.
Risk Data Aggregation & Risk Reporting BAU
- RWA Reporting:
- Support the monthly end-to-end RWA (Risk-Weighted Assets) reporting process, including data collection from front line departments and source systems, aggregation across business lines, data validation, and risk reporting submission.
- Ensure RWA figures are consistent with methodology and flag anomalies or period-over-period movements for review. Maintain working understanding of the RWA calculation and submission process to effectively identify and explain data issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve data aggregation automation and streamline the RWA reporting process, including data mapping, reporting automation, and support implementation of such enhancements.
- KRI Reporting:
- Support the KRI (Key Risk Indicator) reporting process and relevant system aggregation logics and workflows; able to troubleshoot errors or configure KRI-related setups (e.g., indicator definitions, thresholds, aggregation rules) within the system.
- Maintain working understanding of the KRI framework and procedure to support accurate configuration and escalation.
Stakeholder Requirements & Testing Support
- Communicate with stakeholders from business and risk management to address data/reporting needs within RDA program scope.
- Conduct data requirements analysis, draft concise business requirements and test plans, and coordinate and complete testing to support relevant IT system implementation projects, initiatives, or reporting changes.
Data Analysis, Validation & Quality Assurance
- Validate RDA outputs against source systems; perform reconciliations and root-cause analysis of any discrepancies; report and coordinate resolution of data quality issues.
- Work with the data owner, data office and IT departments on the identification, investigation, and resolution of relevant data issues.
- Translate business requirements into SQL extracts and automated reports; build and maintain BI dashboards for critical risk metrics, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and fit for stakeholder use.
- Support senior team member and lead junior team members on data or reporting tasks and review deliverables; implement automation and data analysis related work where needed; promptly escalate critical issues where necessary.
RDA System & GRC Configuration Support
- Coordinate across relevant departments to support RDA system maintenance, including system health monitoring, enhancement requests, testing, and change management for system updates.
- Support configuration and maintenance of risk management workflows on the vendor GRC platform, including workflow setups, business rule configuration, and reporting template maintenance, in coordination with the module owner and vendor.
- Collaborate closely with the team’s technical resource and cross-departmental stakeholders for technical maintenance communications.

- 3+ years (Associate) or 4+ years (AVP) of data analysis, business analysis, and reporting experience; 1+ years of system development or project management experience.
- Working understanding of risk management concepts, particularly RWA/capital-related reporting and KRI governance; prior risk management experience preferred (credit risk, market risk, etc.).
- 1+ years of financial or banking industry experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation/governance discipline; comfortable maintaining governance records, data lineage documentation, and control artifacts as an ongoing part of the role.
- Demonstrate solid coding and programming skills, such as SQL, Python, etc., and strong data analysis skills to work with large scale of dataset and systems; able to troubleshoot system-level errors and support configuration changes (e.g., workflow, business rules, reporting templates) in coordination with the business owner and vendor.
- Solid understanding of database and information systems concepts, including SQL Server and data warehousing, and general understanding of financial products, banking and lending products, and industry practices.
- Experience or working familiarity with GRC platforms/systems preferred (e.g., system configuration, workflow setup, business rule maintenance).
