We are seeking a highly skilled
Enterprise Architect (Subject Matter Expert) to support the
Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network. This position plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and enforcing enterprise architecture (EA) policies, processes, and standards while supporting operational architecture requirements and strategic modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and improve Enterprise Architecture (EA) policies, standards, and processes.
- Conduct comprehensive enterprise architecture data analysis to support operational vignettes and mission planning.
- Review, analyze, and validate data within the Common Architecture Tool Suite (CATS).
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture requirements and monitor timely delivery of architecture products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain architectural integrity and alignment with DAF objectives.
- Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance on enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and governance.
- Monitor architecture performance, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare reports for leadership.
- Support enterprise modernization initiatives and strategic planning efforts across the DAF Battle Network.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications- Minimum 8 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Architecture, or related technical disciplines.
- Experience developing and maintaining Enterprise Architecture policies, processes, and governance.
- Experience analyzing enterprise architecture data and supporting complex operational environments.
- Experience working with the Common Architecture Tool Suite (CATS) or similar enterprise architecture tools.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of the Air Force (DAF).
- Experience supporting operational planning, architecture development, or modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with DoDAF, FEAF, TOGAF, or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience supporting digital transformation and enterprise integration efforts.
- Project management experience supporting large-scale government programs.
