Full Job Description
Enterprise Account Executive, Pharma/Life Sciences
We9re looking for a seasoned life sciences seller for a commercial role pitching and selling integrated patient support programs across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. You9ve spent years navigating the complexity of pharma manufacturer organizations and know that winning in this segment requires patience, precision, and genuine expertise. You understand how market access, brand, and patient services teams each shape a buying decision, how budget cycles and funding decisions work, and what it takes to close an enterprise deal.
This is a full-cycle role. You9ll source your own pipeline, manage stakeholder maps, and carry deals from cold outreach to signed contract. You are inherently self-motivated and deeply believe in your ability to achieve what others deem improbable. You9re comfortable in ambiguity, motivated by building a new segment, and energized by the idea that what you close today directly shapes the company9s trajectory. We9ll teach you Photon9s product and value proposition, but you know how to sell to manufacturers better than we do. Fluency in the patient access and program services landscape is essential. What sets Photon apart is our customer-centric prescribing platform - solving cost, network, and access challenges for patients with prescriptions in-hand.
You9ll report to the Head of Marketplace Partnerships and work as part of a small, high-trust commercial team where everyone is expected to run their book of business like a pro.
Core Responsibilities
3 Close deals while owning the full sales cycle across pharma manufacturers and life sciences companies, from target identification and cold outreach through business case development, program scoping, contract negotiation, and signature, then grow the accounts you land by expanding into additional patient access programs
3 Navigate complex stakeholder environments spanning brand and marketing, market access, patient services, trade/channel, legal/compliance, and C-suite sponsors while building multi-threaded relationships that keep deals moving across the sales cycle
3 Speak the language of our buyers while demonstrating tech literacy in conversations about pharmacy economics, patient access program design, and the workflow and patient experience implications of modernizing prescription routing - you will have technical resources to support deep dives
3 Maintain CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting so the business can plan around your pipeline and board-level commitments reflect reality
3 Partner directly with product to shape what we build, relaying what you learn about competitive dynamics and buyer priorities so the roadmap reflects what the market actually wants
Required Qualifications
3 5+ years of full-cycle enterprise sales experience selling to pharma manufacturers and life sciences companies
3 Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with 3-9 month sales cycles
3 Deep familiarity with manufacturer-sponsored patient access programs (copay, PAP, hubs, DTC, employer programs) and the vendors and service models that support them
3 Proven ability to self-generate pipeline without SDR support
3 Proven track record of quota attainment, with a history of consistently meeting and exceeding targets
3 Based in or willing to relocate to the NYC metro area; able to work from our Williamsburg office 3+ days per week; remote considered for exceptional candidates
3 Willingness to travel regularly for customer site visits and industry conferences
Preferred Qualifications
3 Experience selling into market access, brand, or patient services teams, or working at a hub, PSP, specialty pharmacy, agency, or data/technology vendor serving manufacturers
3 Existing relationships with market access, brand, or patient services leadership at manufacturers
3 Experience selling integrated patient support programs into a landscape of established vendors, where the win comes from a better patient experience and richer insight into patient behavior and preferences
3 Experience working in an early-stage company where you9ve helped improve an initial sales process and playbook, not just execute within one
