Full Job Description
Teradyne's Product Quality and Delivery (PQD) organization is seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering labs, test infrastructure, and semiconductor test systems used throughout the development, verification, qualification, and release lifecycle of Teradyne's Automated Test Equipment (ATE) products.

This role is based in Agoura Hills, California and plays a critical part in maintaining lab readiness, tester availability, infrastructure reliability, and engineering productivity. You will work closely with hardware engineering, software engineering, quality engineering, product development, and lab operations teams to keep systems available, configured, and operational in support of business priorities.

  • Support installation, integration, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of Teradyne test equipment, instrumentation, and engineering systems
  • Configure and support semiconductor ATE platforms, engineering workstations, and development systems
  • Perform hardware diagnosis, root cause investigation, system debugging, repair, and verification activities
  • Maintain engineering lab equipment calibration, functionality, and operational readiness
  • Support software verification, qualification, and regression environments by maintaining hardware and infrastructure resources
  • Monitor and improve tester uptime, lab utilization, and equipment availability
  • Coordinate tester upgrades, hardware installations, asset tracking, inventory management, and preventative maintenance activities
  • Partner with engineers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and maintain stable development and verification environments

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Computer Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting complex electronic systems, laboratory environments, manufacturing equipment, or semiconductor test equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and electronic diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read schematics, technical documentation, assembly drawings, and engineering procedures
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams


Preferred
  • Experience supporting semiconductor Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
  • Experience with Teradyne UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXplus, J750, Eagle, Magnum, or related test platforms
  • Experience supporting engineering labs, quality engineering organizations, software verification teams, or hardware validation environments
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows-based engineering environments
  • Experience supporting continuous integration (CI), regression testing, qualification testing, or release validation activities
  • Experience with tester maintenance, utilization tracking, and infrastructure support
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, asset lifecycle management, and equipment inventory systems
  • Experience improving operational metrics such as uptime, utilization, cycle time, equipment availability, or engineering efficiency
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed engineering teams

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $67,400 - $107,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance
