WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (alternative schedules available upon management approval)

THE ROLE:As an Engineering Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of capital improvement and public works projects throughout the city. You will assist with project design, drafting, field investigations, inspection, data collection, and contract administration.
The ideal candidate for this role will have 2 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering or construction inspection, strong CADD and GIS skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, inspectors, and other departments to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project execution. A background check and valid Washington State driver license are required upon acceptance of a conditional offer.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Associate degree in civil engineering or closely related field
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering, construction inspection, or a closely related field
- Valid Washington State driver license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CADD, and GIS applications
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Experience with public works projects in a municipal environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

SAFETY/WORK CONDITIONS:- Work performed both in office and outdoor environments
